Use Claude Code longer on the same plan.
Chroni is a free, source-available plugin for Claude Code made by Virat Kaukuntla. Most of a session's usage goes to reading, not thinking: build logs, whole files, tool lists and the whole conversation, re-sent with every message. Chroni trims that waste in five places and leaves the reasoning alone.
What it does
- Trims long command output to the start, the end and every error line, saving 50–98% of it (a noisy 900-line failing build went from 7.9k to 0.1k tokens with both errors kept)
- Maps big files so only the needed parts are read, about 60–80% less
- Hides tool servers you haven't used in 14 days
- Lean replies, and a /handoff command for long sessions
- Free to use; no copying or redistribution
